RAHIM YAR KHAN: A magistrate on Saturday directed police to remove the handcuffs of an accused and provide him gloves due to harsh weather.

Police produced Hadayatullah for physical remand in a case registered against him under sections 397/215 in the court of civil judge/magistrate section 30 Nadeem Asghar Nadeem.

The accused told the court that the police fixed handcuffs on his hands and due to severe winter season he was feeling difficulty.

The judge directed police to provide gloves to the accused as no accused could be tormented under the Constitution.
