Garden FC, Farewell Dona, Quaid Archery Academy win titles

KARACHI: Victorious girls throwball team of Farewell Dona seen with chief guest and officials.

KARACHI: Garden FC won the futsal title in style while Farewell Dona won the throwball titleand Quaid-e-Azam Archery Academy won the archery title in the 4th Students Olympic Games 2020 which concluded at the Mini Sports Complex Nazimabad recently.

In the throwball event, Farewell Dona beat Throwball Academy 2-1 to clinch a cash prize of Rs 5000. Third position was bagged by Raden School who beat Kashia team 2-0. Best Player of throwball was Marium Khan.

In futsal event, Garden FC won the title by beating Hameed XI 10-5 to clinch Rs 10,000 cash prize. The third position went to Khaliq XI who beat Asif XI 4-0.

Abdullah of Rangers FC was declared as the Best futsal player of the Tournament.

In rope skipping event, Happy Home School won the title while Skipping Academy was second.

Quaid-e-Azam Archery Academy won the archery competition while University of Karachi Club was third. Best player of the Tournament was Rashid Ahmed of University of Karachi.

Zaheer Ahmed, Sports Manager State Bank of Pakistan and Zubair Ahmed were the chief guests at the closing cerermony.

SSP Aijazuddin of Distric Central (traffic) is wasthe chief guest at the throwball event.

Also present on the occasion were Mr.Jaffar Ali Shah, S.V. President, PSOA, Mr Saddak Patni, S.V President, Mr. Shariq Siddiqui, Secretary PRSF, Nasir Moin Usmani, President, SRSA, Muhammad Mansoor, Secretary Sindh Archeey, Saleem Parach, Secretary, SSOA, Amir Khan, V.President PTF, Arshad Khan Coordinator PTF, Wali Raza, Org, Futsal, Abdul Hameed, Babar, Futsal, Nadeem Aslam, Sec, KSOA, Hassan Org Archery Adana Tareen and Abu Sufyan Org Throwball and Schools Teacher, School Sports Coordinator also present in occasion.

PTF president Maqbool Arain later announced that Pakistan will compete in the upcoming International Students Games in June 2021 month at Turkey, Baku and Azarbijan.
