HYDERABAD, Oct 4: A large number of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz activists staged a protest demonstration and stage a token hunger strike outside the press club here on Tuesday against the arrest of party leaders, Serai Qurban Khuhawar and Athar Soomro, and registration of cases against Shafi Karnani and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Aslam Khairpuri, Murtaza Mughal, Manjhi Khan Chandio and others condemned arrest of party leaders. They warned the government that if JSQM leaders were not released and cases against them were not withdrawn, they will block all roads leading to Punjab.

Our Dadu Correspondent adds: On the call of JSQM chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi a black day was observed by the JSQM in Dadu district on Tuesday to protest against the arrest of the JSQM activists in Sindh.

A rally was taken out from the taluka office to the Dadu Press Club. They were led by local leaders of JSQM, Ghulam Hussain Lund, Mansoor Jamali, Niaz Channa, Haroon Bhurgari, and others.

SBC: Employees of the Sindh Bureau of Curriculum under the banner of Employees Association staged a protest demonstration from the district court to the press club here on Tuesday. They were protesting against the shifting of various teaching training centres from Hyderabad to other places.

Speaking on the occasion, the central president of the association, Akram Solangi and others warned that if the shifting of the bureau offices from Hyderabad was not stopped, the protest demonstrations will continue.
