SAHIWAL: The Sahiwal Education Trust (SET) approved Rs180 million for for the construction of a new campus for the Divisional Public School (DPS), Chichawatni, on Monday at the commissioner office.

Habib Jilani Vance, trust project director, said Rs138.65, Rs10.05 million, Rs22.17 million and Rs6.8 million would be spent on the construction of new Ravi Campus, additional classrooms, and the first floor of girls section of DPS Chichawatni and boundary wall of Ravi Campus. Development and improvement projects will be completed in 2023.

Anwarul Hasan Kirmani, DPS principal, said the trust saved Rs9.5 percent of the sum through tenders. A member of the trust announced he would provide three water filtration plants for Ravi and Chichawatni campuses.
