SHEIKHUPURA: A woman allegedly poisoned her young niece after the victim’s father refused to marry her to the suspect’s son here on Sunday.

According to police, Nasrin Bibi, a resident of Bhatti Town locality of Sharqpur, wanted to marry her son Ashraf to her brother Aslam’s daughter.

However, Aslam refused the proposal and Nasrin had been harbouring a grudge against him over the issue.
