THE Wadh campus of the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) has been facing several issues for some time now. The university was inaugurated three years ago in a private building temporarily. Sadly, there are no proper classrooms for academic activities. Owing to lack of hostel facilities, students are compelled to travel 65km from Khuzdar to Wadh daily to attend classes which is not feasible at all.
There is a shortage of qualified teachers as well. Hundreds of youths have taken part in various protests to voice their demands for a proper university building.
The provincial education minister should resolve these issues as soon as possible to facilitate the students.
