World’s deepest swimming pool

Deepspot, a newly-opened swimming pool in Mszczonow, Poland, claims to be the deepest in the world, boasting a 148-foot-deep pool that holds more than 280,000 cubic feet of water — the same amount as 27 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The pool features underwater caves, recreations of Mayan ruins and a shipwreck reproduction. The pool is designed for scuba training and will be used to train divers for the Polish army and firefighters, officials said.

The business also features a hotel with underwater views, a tunnel for spectators to watch the divers, a restaurant and several meeting rooms.

Rare litter of wolf-like puppies

The litter, born at their owner’s home in Wemyss Bay, Inverclyde, consists of five male and four female dogs. The new pups have a mixture of light and dark fur, with cheeks that are still pink owing to their young age.

Tamaskans came about when Arctic dogs were brought from America and Canada to the UK in the 1980s and were bred with Finnish and Siberian huskies.

Owners Andrew and Monika Connolly said they were undertaking a thorough screening process before rehoming the pups, and that they plan to keep one.

Guinness record for Lego walking relay

A group of five Florida women broke a Guinness World Record when they collectively walked 2.04 miles barefoot over a pile of Lego bricks.

Katie Wells, founder and CEO of lifestyle website Wellness Mama, gathered friends Ashley, Savanna, Grace and Cat, to break the record for farthest distance travelled by walking barefoot on Lego bricks by a relay team in one hour.

Each woman had to complete a minimum OF 20 laps on the 32.8-foot track in the one-hour time limit to break the record, and they exceeded their own expectations by achieving a total distance of 2.04 miles on the track. The Lego track was created at a gym in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

A Guinness adjudicator attended the attempt virtually. Medical professionals were on scene to make sure everything was performed to Guinness specifications.

Deep-fried spaghetti burger, anyone?

The Oxford Circus branch of restaurant chain Honest Burgers has released a deep-fried spaghetti burger in collaboration with pasta restaurant Pastaio. The branch was keen to work with Carnaby-based neighbours, Pastaio, to create the burger.

Honest Burgers explained: “It is a fried sandwich packed with flavours they love and know could go well with beef.”

The spaghetti is added to the burger at the end for a bit of extra texture. The gluten-free spaghetti is boiled, chilled, deep-fried and then scrunched between the mozzarella and mayo. So what is the burger like? Whether you are a pasta lover or a plain burger lover, this combo offers you a variety!
