BADIN, Oct 2: Two people were killed and 22 others were injured when a dumper crashed into a bus on the Badin – Karachi highway near Pehalwan village, around four kilometres away from here on Sunday evening.

The dumper in an attempt to overtake a car, rammed into the bus. As a result, Yousuf Mandhro, 50, died on the spot, while Ramzan Jakhro died on way to the Badin civil hospital.

The condition of Sooraj and Lal Bux Khaskheli (driver of the bus) was said to be critical.

The driver of the dumper fled from the spot.

The injured are: Daya Kolhi, Kewal, Mumtaz Bano, Ramzan, Kaneeza Akhtar, Shakeel Ahmed, Jamshed Ali, Zubair Solangi, Haneef Soomro, Ahtramul Haq, and Rasheeda Sheikh.—BoC
