OKARA: A staffer of the local main office of the SNGPL tested positive for coronavirus on Monday prompting the closure of the section he had been working with for 10 days.

Engineer Qurban Ali was screened positive for the virus and the health authorities closed the sale section. The other colleagues will also be tested accordingly.

KILLED: An elderly man beaten harshly over a land dispute succumbed to injuries in hospital on Monday.

Siddique had a dispute with Zaheer’s family over a residential plot at Lahrasab Town in Renal Khurd. Siddique started construction on the disputed plot when rival Zaheer along with his brothers Ihsaan, Nazar and Shahid rushed to Lahrasab Town and beat him with rods and bricks. The injured was shifted to hospital where he died.

The City Renal Khurd police registered a case.
