The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has been informed in its meeting that five cities — Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi — were contributing 70 per cent to the spread of the coronavirus in the country due to rising positivity ratio and daily cases.

According to a statement, the NCOC was informed that around 46 deaths a day were recorded daily for this week while 237 hospital admissions were noted.

"Karachi, Hyderabad, Peshawar and Rawalpindi were among the top cities with a persistent rising positivity ratio," the forum was told. It was informed that all required medical equipment was available as per the need and proper supply to the provinces was being managed, the statement added.
