4 Pakistanis to be hanged in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: Four Pakistanis to be hanged on Sunday publicly in Kuwait on charges of smuggling heroine into the country, said the embassy sources.

According to sources, four were arrested couple years ago and were tried at the criminal courts on charges of smuggling heroine. They were sentenced to death by the courts later and their verdicts were upheld by the Appeals Court and the Court of Cassation, sources added.

Those who were to be hanged on Sunday are: Syed Mudaser Shah s/o Syed Hikmat Shah, 30 years, district Charsada, Mohammad Ahmad Khan s/o Syed Khawaja, 29 years, Bara, Faiz Mohammad s/o Yousaf Khan, 30 years, district Charsada and Abdul Basir s/o Abdul Hai, 51 years, district Swabi.
