RAWALPINDI: Robbers have struck at six different places in the city and deprived people of cash and gold jewellery. None of the culprits has been arrested till the filing of this report.

In a complaint to the Ganjmandi police, Asim Iqbal said he was sitting at his iron store when three persons entered his office and held him at gunpoint.

He said the gunmen forcibly snatched Rs200,000 from him and later fired at his cashier and injured him as he offered resistance.

He said the robbers also took away his cell phone valuing Rs255,000.

Zahid Ali,a resident of Dhoke Matkal lodged an FIR with the Ratta Amral police saying that he was going to a nearby shop when a person appeared in the street from behind and caught hold of him from his neck which fainted him. He said as he fell unconscious, he stole Rs40,000 in cash and his mobile phone from his pocket.

Adnan Aziz, complained to the Pirwadhai police that he was talking to his neighbour in the street when two motorcycle riders appeared there and snatched Rs50,000 and his cell phone from him.

The value of the cell phone was estimated at Rs30,000. Bilal Ahmed was deprived of his motorcycle by three persons who blocked his way in the Banni area and snatched away his vehicle at gunpoint.

Sajid Mehmood, complained to the R.A Bazar that he was intercepted by two unidentified persons who snatched Rs 4500 from him and escaped in Mughalabad on Sunday.

Adeel Arif told the Airport police that two robbers snatched away Rs285,000 and a cell phone from his employee Ali Butt.
