DERA MURAD JAMALI: As a large number of people from Balochistan’s cold areas, including Quetta, Mastung, Kalat and Khuzdar, have started moving towards Nasirabad to spend winter there, the Nasirabad police have started registering them in view of maintaining law and order and providing security to important installations, such as Uch Power Plant near Dera Murad Jamali.

Police officials said here on Sunday that a large number of nomads was reaching Dera Murad Jamali and other areas of Nasirabad district from cold areas of the province. He said these people would live in Nasirabad during winter and return to their areas after it.

In order to maintain law and order and ensure security in the district, the police were collecting credentials of the people living around Uch Power Plant and other areas, a police officer said.

On the special instructions of Nasirabad SSP Abdul Hai Baloch, the police have increased patrolling near the power plant area. Security at the police check-post near the power plant has also been increased.
