The Punjab government's Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has issued an order detailing new restrictions on public gatherings and weddings in the province. The restrictions, which will remain in force until January 31, 2021, include:

  • There will be a complete ban on indoor weddings. Only outdoor weddings will be allowed with a maximum of 300 attendees, starting today.
  • All types of large-scale gatherings will be banned. Only outdoor gatherings will be allowed with an upper limit of 300 persons.
  • All citizens will be required to use face coverings in public places.
