1,276 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, the highest daily jump in infections since July 12, when the province reported 1,713 cases.

Sindh's tally of cases now stands at 161,028, according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Nineteen more people lost their lives from the virus, with the provincial death toll climbing to 2,799.

A total of 12,975 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, according to Shah.
