QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday filed a reference against former Khuzdar Tehsil Nazim Asif Baloch, Tehsil municipal officers Jalil Zehri, Elahi Bakhsh and Abdul Qayyum and accountants Khuda-i-Rahim and Ghulam Qadir in the accountability court for recruiting 276 people illegally.

A NAB spokesman said it had been revealed in the investigation that former Tehsil Nazim Asif Baloch, with the connivance of municipal officers and accountants, caused a loss of Rs 428 million to the national exchequer by recruiting these persons without advertising the vacancies.

He said the accused also ignored the upper and lower age limits for recruitment of these government employees.
