LAHORE: Nasir Iqbal came from behind to overpower Israr Ahmad to win the $1000-prize PSF-Punjab Satellite Squash Tournament here at the Punjab Squash Complex on Tuesday.

Former Pakistan No.l and British Junior champion Nasir fought for 62 minutes on the court to win the final against a rather less experienced but former Asian Junior champion Israr Ahmad with the scoreline reading 11-13, 8-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-5.

Nasir faltered in the beginning as Israr took a solid 2-0 lead. But Nasir, using his vast experience and fighting spirit, gave no further room to Israr and wrapped up the remaining three games to clinch the title.

Israr, who made a fine start, struggled with poor stamina which eventually cost him the game and the title.
