PPP member of Sindh Assembly Sharjeel Inam Memon has tested positive for the coronavirus and is self-isolating at his farmhouse in Hyderabad.

"I tested positive today. The report has just reached me," he said over the phone. Memon, who is the Sindh chief minister's focal person for Covid-19 for Hyderabad, earlier today chaired a meeting of the district administration regarding coronavirus.

The former provincial minister had also tested positive for the virus in June after his sample was processed by a private laboratory in Karachi, but his subsequent tests returned negative.

After his latest positive diagnosis in Karachi, he has submitted a sample for a repeat test in Hyderabad as well.
