Bachat bazaars set up in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Sindh government had taken a decision to provide relief to people by organising Bachat bazaars in different cities and towns of the province, said Pakistan Peoples Party’s MPA Sharjeel Inaam Memon on Sunday.

He told media persons after inaugurating a Bachat bazaar in Tando Jam on Sunday that the decision had been implemented with first such bazaars organised in Hyderabad district, said a press release.

He said that similar bazaars would be organised in other cities of the province as well so that people could buy essential commodities including flour, sugar and lentils at discounted prices.

He said that officers concerned had been directed to make price control committees functional and ensure sale of essential commodities at government rates. The officers had also been asked to ensure implementation of SOPs for Covid-19, he said.

He said that and no one should be allowed to enter the bazaars without wearing a mask and appealed to people not to visit the bazaars without mask to save themselves and others from Covid-19.

Hyderabad deputy commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomro and assistant commissioner (rural) Qandeel Fatima were also present on the occasion.
