ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed a leader of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and its chief whip in the National Assembly, Malik Mohammad Amir Dogar, as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Affairs.

The Prime Minister Office issued a notification to this effect on Friday.

After appointment of Mr Dogar as the prime minister’s special assistant, the total number of the federal cabinet’s members has risen to 52 — 27 federal ministers, three ministers of state, 17 SAPM and five advisers.
