LARKANA: A cell has been established at the Larkana commissioner’s office with the aim of protecting minorities’ rights.

It will work in the light of Dr Shoaib Suddle Commission’s recommendations, according to a handout issued by the information department.

The cell would work to safeguard minorities’ rights including protecting temples and other places of worship as well as religious properties in the division.

It would also ensure five per cent quota in jobs for minority communities.

Office superintendent Nirmal Das has been tasked to act as the focal person and could be reached through phone numbers 074-9410244 and 074-9410245 or WhatsApp number 0333-3932042, the handout said.
