Pollution in Hub

Published November 3, 2020

BALOCHISTAN is the largest province of Pakistan in terms of area, but is the smallest in terms of population. Since the province is largely deserted, huge areas have been taken up by factories. There are more than 200 factories and firms in Hub alone. These factories are a constant source of air and noise pollution in the area.

Water pollution is another issue. The waste chemicals from factories directly enter the canals and rivers, pollute the water streams and cause a variety of adverse health outcomes. The provincial government should address the issue without delay.
