KARACHI: Veteran journalist and former editor of Dawn Saleem Asmi was laid to rest on Monday in Korangi graveyard.
His funeral prayers were offered after Asr prayers at Masjid Gulzar-i-Habib, opposite Frere police station. A large number of his relatives, friends and members of the media fraternity attended the prayers.
Mr Asmi died in Karachi on Saturday morning after a long illness. His funeral was delayed as his sons and some other relatives were to arrive here from abroad to take part in the last rites.
