SUKKUR, Sept 28: A complete shutter down strike was observed in Thull and Mirpur Buriro on Wednesday to protest against the kidnapping of Sardar Ganj Bux Buriro, vice-president of PML, along with five other people.

The Buriro community warned that if Sardar Buriro was not freed then the shutter down strike would continue till Thursday.

Sardar Ganj Bux Buriro, chief of the Buriro tribe, and five other people were kidnapped.

Sardar Buriro was returning from Nautal Balochistan with Imam Bux Buriro, Nazimuddin Buriro, Mohammad Mithal Soomro, Mohammad Yakoob Solangi and Mumtaz Ali Buriro and when their car reached near Buxapur, near Jacobabad, armed men in three vehicles intercepted them.

All of them were hijacked, but later the five people were released and asked them to arrange ransom if they wanted to the Sardar alive.
