Usman strikes century

KARACHI, Sept 27: Usman Ali hammered a magnificent century to power Royal Academy (RA) in the semifinal of KCCA Inter-school cricket tournament with a six-wicket defeat of GBSS Agro Technical on Monday.

Usman bludgeoned 21 fours and fives during his superb 137.

Also reaching semifinals were City Central Grammar School, APWA GBSS and Zahoor GBSS.

At Asifabad Sports Ground: APWA GBSS beat FF Public School by 14 runs.

APWA GBSS 176 in 44.2 overs (M. Zeeshan 45, Arsalan Hussain 32, Asif 24; Faisal Tahir 3-28); FF PUBLIC SCHOOL 162 in 46.5 overs (Fahad Mushir 35, Masood Hussain 33, Farhan Khan 32; M. Zohaib 3-16).

At Students Sports Ground: Royal Academy beat GBSS Agro Technical by six wickets.

GBSS AGRO TECHNICAL 173 in 34.4 overs (Saleem Zakir 39, Shahzaib Amjad 39); ROYAL ACADEMY 174-4 in 20.5 overs (Usman Ali 137).

At TMC Ground: City Central Grammar School beat Karachi Secondary School by seven wickets.
