SAHIWAL: A two-day street art competition concluded here at the auditorium of the Sahiwal Medical College (SMC) on Tuesday.

The pictures were painted on the walls of the SMC.

Students from Government Postgraduate Boys College, Government Postgraduate Girls College, Arid Agriculture University, Comsats University (Sahiwal Campus) and the Sahiwal Divisional Public School participated in the competition.

SMC Principal Prof Dr Zahid Kamal told Dawn paintings highlighted environment, women empowerment, smoking, pollution, health, child labor, child mother health, global warming and water conservation. Two dozens paintings were done altogether.

A jury evaluated the paintings and awarded prizes and certificates to the participants.

Bilal Ahmed Awan and Kashmala Khan from the SMC told Dawn a group of eight to 10 students from each institution participated in the competition.

Participants said it was difficult but fun-filled activity. They said putting in collective efforts in making paintings was the most interesting part of the competition.
