QUETTA: A reception in honour of Mr. M. A. Jinnah was given last night [Oct 18] by Qazi Mohammad Isa and Begum Isa at their residence. Covers were laid for about 50 guests and almost all the high ... civil and military officials attended, including Hon. Lt.-Col. W.R. Hay, Agent to the Governor-General in Baluchistan District, Gen. Irwin, Commandant Staff College, Quetta…. Mr. Jinnah was the guest of honour at an “At Home” given by the Baluchistan Provincial Muslim League on the lawns of the Town Hall, Quetta. Nearly 500 guests responded including a large number of ladies both Indian and English. A Gurkha band was in attendance.
