MUZAFFARGARH: The district police claim to have arrested a man involved in eight terrorism cases and 17 murder cases of police and citizens.

The Muzaffargarh police have kept Shabbir Lari, the ringleader of Lari gang, at an undisclosed location.

District Police Officer Mohammad Hassan Iqbal on Sunday confirmed Lari’s arrest and said he was involved in eight terrorism cases and 17 murder cases. He was also wanted to the Dera Ghazi Khan division police and captured when an additional IG Punjab had directed police to arrest proclaimed offenders. The district police have arrested more than 20 proclaimed offenders.

INJURED: Three revenue officials were injured by a mob during Saturday night’s operation at Alipur tehsil during which officials retrieved 3,200 acre state land in Head Panjnad.
