Rs4 million deal for Faisalabad teams

LAHORE, Sept 26: A private company will provide ruppes four million a year for three years to Faisalabad Regional teams to take part in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) organized tournaments.

PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan said at a press conference that it was a big step taken by Interloop to promote cricket at the grassroots levels and in return the company would not be disappointed.

He also said that the PCB had decided to install lights and a big television screen in the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad.

Asked if the PCB was awarding any prizes to the Faisalabad Wolves for winning the first six-nation Twenty20 Cup in England this year, Shaharyar, replied in negative.
