LAHORE: Musician Bobby Wazir, the son of renowned musician Bakhshi Wazir, was laid to rest at Miani Sahib Graveyard on Monday. The 39-year-old musician had breathed his last on Sunday.

Bobby was rushed to the Jinnah Hospital on Sunday after he developed breathing problems. He suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away by midnight.

Bobby had a music studio by the name of Wazir Superhit Recording Studio. He composed music for TV plays, Coke Studio and a film, Azadi. He was the youngest among five sons of Bakhshi Wazir. He is survived by a widow and two sons.

Singer Shabnam Majeed expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Bobby. She said that she could not believe that Bobby had passed away as he was so young.

Many musicians, singers and other artistes from the music community attended the funeral prayers for the deceased.

Qul for the deceased will be held after Asr prayers at his residence Bagh Munshi Ladha, Adda Karim Park, Lahore.
