PTI Gilgit-Baltistan chapter's president Justice retired Syed Jafar Shah has passed away at the age of 65 due to complications caused by the novel coronavirus, the party's provincial deputy general secretary, Sabir Hussain confirmed.

Shah had returned home from a hospital in Islamabad's Chak Shehzad a few days ago, but was admitted again last night after his condition deteriorated.

The deceased was elected to the GB Assembly twice and had also served as a judge in the Supreme Appellate Court.
