ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) Secretary-General Raja Pervez Ashraf on Sunday urged the chief election commissioner to take cognizance of the allegations of rigging and manipulation resorted to by the ruling party in the third phase of the local bodies election.

In a statement, he reminded the chief election commissioner that the Awam Dost candidate for town nazim Multan, Makhdoom Mureed Hussain Qureshi, was being harassed by the ruling party and urged him to take note of his complaint already lodged with him.
