CHITRAL Two women allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Chital River during past two days and their bodies are yet to be recovered.

A source in the Rescue-1122 told this correspondent that in the first incident, Khonza Bibi, a married woman from Orghoch in her early 30s, allegedly jumped into the river because of her strained domestic relations.

He said that in another woman, 25, ended her life allegedly by jumping into the river in Charun village of Upper Chitral. He said that efforts were afoot by rescue officials to retrieve the bodies.

HEALTH APP: Doctors in Chitral have termed the ‘Elaj Asan’ mobile application developed and launched by Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS), Pakistan, a boon for the people of remote areas like Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan as it would provide online healthcare assistance.

AKHS has recently launched the app through which the patients can schedule appointments with doctors available at one of three AKHS facilities, including Aga Khan Medical Centre in Gilgit; Aga Khan Family Health Centre in Karimabad and the Aga Khan Family Health Centre in Karachi.
