Four booked for alleged gang rape

TAXILA: Hassanabdal police have registered a case against four people for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of a 14-year-old boy in Mohalla Irshadnagar.

The boy was allegedly gang raped by four of his friends. The victim’s mother along with her son in the first investigation report (FIR) said her son was taken by his friend to his house, where he along with three others forcefully gang raped him and filmed it.

While quoting her son, she said the suspects threatened her son of dire consequences if he spoke about the incident with anyone.

Talking to the press, she urged regional police officers to take necessary departmental action against concerned officials for not registering the case for three days.

When contacted, spokesman of the district police Sub-Inspector Tahir Iqbal said a case was registered against the suspects under section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and they were subsequently sent behind bars. He said all four suspects are friends of the victim and are under the age of 15.

Man shot dead

A man was shot dead and eight other persons were injured in different incidents in various parts of district Attock on Sunday.

In the first incident, a man was shot dead while another was injured when a group attacked another group in Sheenbagh in the jurisdiction of Attock police.

Due to firing, 33-year-old Waqar Hussain received a bullet injury and died on way to hospital while 30-year-old Ali Asghar was injured critically.

In the same police station’s jurisdiction, a man opened fire at his father-in-law and his brother over a domestic dispute in Beryar Village.

Sources in police said the suspect fought with his wife and when his father-in-law along with his brother — 55-year-old Munawar Dad and 50-year-old Mohammad Ashraf - came to settle the dispute, he fired gunshots at them. Both of them received critical injuries.

Furthermore, two persons were injured after a car hit their motorcycle on Kamra Road near Railway Bridge. The car driver managed to escape.

Three other persons were injured in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang Police Station after a tractor crashed into a car near Darsagi on Rawalpindi — Kohat Road.

The injured were shifted to Rawalpindi in a Rescue 1122 ambulance due to their critical condition.

Respective police registered separate cases and started further investigation.
