1 arrested, another booked in rape incidents in Toba Tek Singh

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man was arrested on charge of raping a boy while another was booked for attempting to rape his step-daughter in the district on Sunday.

Rajana police arrested a security guard of petrol filling station on charge of repeatedly raping a teenage boy.

Police said the 14-year-old boy had once visited the rented house of the suspect who sodomised him at gunpoint. Later, the suspect started blackmailing the boy and repeatedly raped him. On Sunday, the suspect again repeated the crime.

The parents of the victim found him upset and asked him about the reason. At this, he informed them about the rape. The victim’s elder brother registered a complaint with the police who arrested the guard and started an investigation.

In the other incident, a man of Pirmahal’s C Plot locality has been booked by Pirmahal police for allegedly attempting to rape his minor step-daughter.

The mother of a 12-year-old girl had contracted a second marriage some four months ago after the death of her first husband. She told the police that her husband overpowered her daughter when she was not home and attempted to rape her. When she returned home, she heard cries of her daughter and rushed to save her. Police registered a case and started looking for the suspect.

THREE DIE: Three people died in as many incidents in Pirmahal and Gojra.

A lineman was electrocuted at Chak 741/GB near Pirmahal.

Police said deceased Falak Sher (35) was giving a power connection to a house from the main transmission line when his hand touched a live wire. He received electric shocks and died instantly.

In another incident, a farmer died under the wheel of his own tractor at Pirmahal.

Deceased Muhammad Muzammal (30) of Pirmahal’s Chak 330/GB was on going on Link Road on his tractor when at a bump, he jumped from his driving seat and fell on the road. As a result, a wheel of the tractor ran over him and he died on the spot.

In yet another incident, a young married man committed suicide at Gojra.

According to a police report, Muhammad Mikaeel (26) quarreled with his wife over some issue and went out of home. Later, his body was found hanging from a tree in his farmland.
