Published September 17, 2020

OWING to the choked sewerage system sewage water inundated many streets and main roads after the recent heavy rains in Karachi. In some areas, stagnant water is still standing and the sewage water is emitting foul and harmful odours. These pools have also become a source of breeding mosquitoes causing serious health hazards to the people of F.B. Area particularly Block 12.

The choked sewerage system and standing stagnant sewage are hampering the movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Besides, it has badly dilapidated the surface of many streets and main thoroughfares.

The concerned civic authorities and the Sindh government are requested to take immediate remedial measures and provide relief to the people.
