MTL profit plunges

KARACHI: Millat Trac­tors Ltd (MTL) recorded profit after tax at Rs2.15 billion and earnings per share at Rs43.16 for the year ended June 30.

It represented a drop of 41pc from PAT at Rs3.64bn and EPS at Rs73.01 the previous year, said a press release.

The board recommended final cash dividend at Rs30 per share which takes the full-year payout to Rs50. Results announced were better than market expectation which were reflected in the stock price of Millat Tractors that rose by Rs14.48 to Rs883.68 on Wednesday.
