RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the family of a martyred officer here on Tuesday to pay tribute to him for rendering the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

At the residence of Lt Nasir Hussain Khalid Slehria Shaheed, Gen Bajwa offered fateha and prayed for the departed soul. He also acknowledged the resolve of his brave family, said a press release of the Inter-Services Public Relations.

“No threat can deter the resolve of a nation which is united, resilient and honours its heroes,” the press release quoted the army chief as saying on the occasion.
