KARACHI: While weather remained largely dry in the city, a few areas received light rain on Friday, the Meteorological department stated.

According to a Met department official, light rain occurred due to extension of monsoon currents from eastern Sindh where moderate to heavy rain occurred.

“Only Saddar and Gulshan-i-Hadeed reported rain of 1mm each whereas 46mm of rain was recorded in Bholari and Nooriabad,” said Met department spokesperson Sardar Sarfaraz.
