KARACHI: Mr. M.A. Jinnah, addressing a public meeting this evening [Sept 2] made a fervent appeal to Sind Muslims to stand solidly behind the Muslim League, work with amity under its banner and return all the Muslim League candidates to the Sind Legislative Assembly.

He said that today the whole world was looking at Indian Muslims, and he was glad that the Muslims were not sleeping. They were ready to fight for their cause. “I do not want you to shed your blood, but be prepared to fight for the League votes,” said he, and added: “I am sure that Sind which has been the entrance of Musalmans in India would lead the path for our emancipation.”

Mr. Jinnah continued: “We do not grudge independence for Hindus, but let them be in Hindustan. Pakistan is ours. This is our land and we should be free to rule over it.” The Hindus, he said, fully realised that the Muslim League was the solid body of Musalmans of India. “The Muslims knew that already. But there was a possibility of friction due to interference from our enemies.”… He said his appeal for funds had received a great response.
