KARACHI: Pak Suzuki Motor Company posted condensed loss after tax (LAT) of Rs2.46 billion for the six months ended June 30, up from a negative bottom line of Rs1.53bn in the same term of 2019.
Loss per share (LPS) was up to Rs29.92, from Rs18.53. Sales declined 58pc to Rs27.48bn, from Rs65.43bn, which the company attributed to drastic decline in volumes.
Bata bottom line turns negative
Bata Pakistan Ltd declared LAT amounting to Rs671 million and LPS at Rs88.74 for the six months ended June 30, against after-tax profit of Rs653m and earnings per share at Rs86.36 in the same period last year. Sales dropped to Rs4.68bn, from Rs8.79bn.
Exide bleeds Rs228m
Exide Pakistan Ltd recorded loss of Rs228m and LPS at Rs29.35 in its unconsolidated condensed statement for the quarter ended June 30, as against LAT of Rs227m and LPS of Rs29.26 in the same period previous year.
Turnover decreased to Rs1.73bn, from Rs2.68bn. The chemicals section contributed operating profit against operating loss posted by the batteries division.
