ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the provinces to ensure swift approvals of applications and No Objection Certificates regarding housing, construction and development.

Presiding over a meeting of the National Coordination Committee on Housing, Construction and Development on Thursday, the prime minister asked chief secretaries of all provinces to expedite “the process of approval of under process applications so that timely decisions could be taken on them”.

He expressed satisfaction over progress so far made in the field of housing and construction and said it would play an important role in boosting the country’s economy.

“Providing ease to the developers, builders and investors is top most priority of the government,” he added.

Capital Development Authority chairman Amir Ali Ahmed briefed the PM about various development projects. The provincial chief secretaries informed the participants about the number of applications they had so far received regarding construction and development since July this year by their respective province.
