LAHORE: Police claimed on Sunday to have killed two alleged robbers in an ‘encounter’ in Faisal Town.

According to the police, two robbers barged in the house of Haji Iqbal, a money changer, in C-Block, Faisal Town and held his son Salman hostage at gunpoint.

The police said when the robbers were busy collecting valuables and cash in the house, Mr Iqbal’s daughter informed her father, who was not home, through a message on his mobile phone about the situation.

The police shifted their bodies to the city morgue for autopsy and later registered the case on the complaint of Mr Iqbal.
