LAHORE: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Thursday said that it has decided to file a review petition over the recent Supreme Court verdict on Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC).

“We respect the decision taken by the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan but we have decided to file a review petition in this regard,” All Pakistan CNG Association Chairman Ghayas Paracha told Dawn.

Ogra has been unable to assess the correct valuation of gas price for CNG sector since 2012, he said.

The honourable high courts, he said, had halted payments of GIDC on two occasions and due to this, gas companies did not bill GIDC to the CNG sector. Therefore the CNG sector did not pass it to end consumers, he added.
