MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has predicted that the BJP-RSS regime’s Hindutva agenda would disintegrate India and shatter its desire to become a regional hegemonic power.

Speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony here at the Aiwan-i-Sadr on the occasion of Independence Day of Pakistan on Friday, he vowed that the people and governments in Pakistan and AJK would not leave their brethren in India held Kashmir alone at this critical juncture of their history and would go to any extent for their liberation from illegal foreign occupation.

The ceremony, which was also addressed by AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, was attended by members of AJK cabinet, Legislative Assembly, senior civil and military officials and a large number of people from different walks of life.

A smartly turned out police contingent presented guard of honour and after jointly hoisting the Pakistani flag both the president and the premier also cut a cake to mark the 74thIndependence Day of Pakistan.

The AJK president maintained that Pakistan had come into existence to survive till the Day of Judgment and would be playing a leadership role in South Asia in days to come.

“The people of Jammu and Kashmir are fighting for the completion of Pakistan because they believe that Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir and that they have no identity without Pakistan,” he asserted.

”The ongoing liberation struggle in the held territory is passing through the most critical phase of its history and if India’s aggression is not reciprocated with the decisive actions in the next two to three years, there will be no Kashmir on the political map of the world,” he warned.

“I have no qualms about saying that the Muslims will once again be playing a leadership role in this whole region.”

Mr Khan also underlined the need of altering the existing world order based on double standards and injustice with a one based on justice and equality

Earlier, in his speech, Mr Haider paid glowing tributes to Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah under whose dynamic leadership the workers of Muslim League launched an untiring struggle to translate the dream of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent into a reality.

“An unprecedented democratic movement under the visionary leadership of the Father of the Nation brought the British and Hindu leadership to their knees and within 10 years Pakistan appeared on the globe,” he said, adding history will repeat itself in occupied Kashmir and Hindutva driven oppressor would bite the dust at the hands of valiant Kashmiris.

Calling for political and economic stability in Pakistan, Mr Haider maintained that it wassine qua nonfor early liberation of occupied Kashmir.

“The movement for accomplishment of Pakistan has been continuing with full force in the occupied territory and its early success needs full support from our side,”he said.

Flag hoisting ceremonies and other functionswere held all over AJK to mark the independence anniversary of Pakistan.

Participants greeted people of Pakistan and reaffirmed their pledge to play their role in its stability and progress.
