KARACHI: Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Friday said that coronavirus claimed six more lives overnight lifting the death toll to 2,313 while 343 new cases emerged when 9,383 samples were tested.

In a statement issued here from CM House, he said that currently 4,294 patients were under treatment, of them 3,896 in home isolation, eight at isolation centres and 39 at different hospitals. “Condition of 252 patients is stated to be serious, including 42 who have been put on ventilators,” he added.

He said that 182 out of 343 new cases of coronavirus were detected from Karachi.
