KARACHI: A 25-year-old man was shot dead in front of his brother at Lasbela chowrangi on Wednesday, said police.

They added that Imran Hameedullah was shot and killed by armed motorcyclists at Lasbela near Nouman Masjid.

Area SHO Qamar Zeb Sati said the victim was standing there along with his brother when the killers attacked him, but didn’t attack his brother.

They fired five shots but a single bullet hit Imran, which proved fatal, the police added.

The murder seems to be an outcome of personal enmity, said Mr Sati.

Another officer, who wished not to be named, said the young man fell victim to ‘honour killing’.

The officer added that the police had got some significant clues to the identity of the killers.

The body was taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to fulfil medico-legal formalities.
