AUG 5 was the darkest day in the history of India-occupied Kashmir when India flouted the resolutions passed by United Nations and annexed the disputed territory of Kashmir with naked aggression in broad daylight.

The Muslims of the valley live a miserable life in horror and terror caused by hundreds of thousands of Indian soldiers. Thousands of Kashmiris have lost their lives in this past one year at the hands of the Indian military.

Pakistan has always raised its voice for the liberation of Kashmir since 1948. The unresolved UN agenda to hold a plebiscite in Indian occupied Kashmir is like a tumor in international human conscious. If not treated with wisdom and sagacity it will be the ultimate threat to the peace and stability of South Asia.

It is time our Muslim brethren supported the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people. The yoke of slavery needs to be taken off now from the neck of Kashmir. History is replete with examples that, when violence and atrocities inflicted upon human beings exceeded the limit, the law of nature came into action and swept away tyrant rulers.

The Human Rights Watch has slammed India for crimes it has committed in the occupied territory of Kashmir. The shadows of war loom over our eastern borders and nearly 25 per cent of world population may face a situation that would be unpleasant for all inhabitants of the region if India is left unbridled.

I beseech Muslim countries to take cognisance of the situation and denounce the policies of Indian RSS and Hindutva and stand united against India.

The lynching and killing of Muslims daily on one pretext or another is the norm in India with nobody to stand up for their solace. Not an iota of justice is being done to Muslims in Modi’s India.

From the Babri Masjid verdict to National Register for Citizens and from Citizenship Amendment Act to the Covid-19 crisis, Muslims have been deprived of their legitimate rights. A bloc of Muslim countries is direly needed to overcome this crisis and safeguard the interest of the most deprived minority of India. Kashmir will soon be liberated.

THE boastful claim of the BJP-led, RSS-inspired government in India that the revocation of Articles 370 and 35A will bring peace, prosperity and development to Kashmir and the region has turned on its head.

The valley continues to remain ravaged by a brutal military presence and a complete lockdown crushing freedom of speech and movement of the Kashmiri people.

However, the Kashmiri people stand defiant in this uphill battle against India for their liberation.

No prizes for guessing that the real motive of the BJP-led government headed by Modi was to bring a demographic change in the Kashmir valley to turn the Muslim majority into a minority in their own land.

Although the Indian government and the pliant media continue to rant that all is well in the Kashmir valley the truth is that even the pro-Indian leaders remain incarcerated.

There is no denying the fact that occupied Kashmir now stands on the verge of an economic, political and demographic disaster.
