LAHORE: A newly-wed man was killed while his brother and sister were injured when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at them in Mustafa Town on Sunday.

Police said 22-year-old Saqlain Ali of Ghaziabad, his brother Hasnain and sister Ramsha were going home by a motorcycle-rickshaw when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at them near the Beijing Underpass.Ali and his siblings fell on the road and suffered critical injuries.

The injured were shifted to nearby hospital where Ali succumbed to his bullet wounds while his sister and brother were said to be in critical condition. Police registered the case and started the investigation.

Police officers said that initial investigation revealed that Ali was killed over a marriage issue.
