KARACHI: A man and his wife were stabbed to death in a house in Malir City in what police described as an act of so-called honour killing.

Police said that the couple — Zahid, 21, and Sumaira Akram Khan, 20 — got married as per their free will and shifted to Ghazi Goth in Manghopir. Later, they took shelter in Malir City.

The police said the woman’s father came to the police and informed them that his son had murdered her and her husband.

The police arrested the woman’s brother who led them to a house in New Joharabad in Malir City from where they found the bodies. The bodies had lain there for two to three days.

The suspect told the police that he bought a knife from Bakra Piri and with the help of his accomplice killed the couple. He locked the door from outside.
